UK Fashion Hits The Streets, Summer, 2010

Designers & fashionistas alike often look to international influences & trends for a spark of inspiration. One of my favorite places to visit, and hopefully live one day, is London. Some of the eye catching trends spotted on the streets of well known shopping districts such as Oxford street, has been reflected on the runways of featured designers such as Stella McCartney & Celine. As we've seen previous influences of 80's fashions spin into modern day wear, the 90's are starting to unveil their influences in the modern-day bodysuit. Well known designer, Donna Karan put the 'bodysuit' in the spotlight almost 25 years ago, has now been brought back to life as Rochas provides a modern-day twist for the Summer season. Brighten up your wardrobe by combining look-at-me accessories with powder grey & beige's. Some have even braved the head-to-toe look of psychedelic tie-dye prints with pink sandals, or extreme shades, which would brighten up anyone's day. For some, not every day is summer, especially for San Francisco locals like myself who see most sunny days through a thick fog. Although winter was all about carbon black leathers and clever layering, but the sunshine season calls for a softer approach and a fresh color palette. Make your hard core studs and I-care-not grungy look translate to warmer climes with chalky grey jersey fabrics, studded minis and light-weight biker jackets. Summertime Jams & Fashions...

Sunshine, free-flowing beer, summertime jams...yes, music festival season is finally upon us! This weekend Coachella will kick off the summer music festival season in Indio, California. With a lineup as hot as the subsequent desert temps (i.e. Gorillaz, LCD Soundsystem, and Jay-Z , among many others), cool wardrobe choices could prove to be a bit daunting. But unlike most carefree al-fresco events, these epic outdoor gatherings take some serious planning. One miscalculated clothing item, or additional necessary items could end up spending your time in the medic's unit with cases of dehydration and sunburn. Busacca Fashion Gallery has found just the right combo of elements to help you stay cool and looking cooler. Some simple tips to make the most of the great (musical!) outdoors.
Put together a fool-proof look that's got plenty of punch. Combine a printed dress with a thin belt, keeping you cooler with an off-the-body dress that keeps you looking pretty. Minimalism is key, so Store your crap in a utilitarian vest. You'll realize quickly that a purse can be too much to handle, so opt for a lightweight vest with plenty of secured pockets to keep your hands free for more important things! Don't forget your cranium! Hats do double duty by shielding your eyes and preventing your scalp from too much sun. Lightweight straw hats with air vents keep your head happy. Bring an ultra chic fedora to keep your pretty little face out of the sun, while still keeping your ensable stylish. For the latest fashion postings, visit www.busaccafashiongallery.com!
