Bags, Bags, Bags! Forecast for upcoming trends...

Handbags for most women are reflection of their personality, personal style, and we feel naked without them. The handbag, in fact, is no longer seen by designers as a mere accessory than can be included or not according to their whim; it has become a fundamental element of a woman’s look, something that is essential not only for its practicality but, above all, because it is chic and complements a woman’s personality and style. Some of the ‘eye-catching’ trends for Fall/ Winter 2009, and the upcoming spring 2010, designers played with lots of color, as well as texture. This year designers have created amazing purses from quilted handbags and bags with chunky chains. The color pallet for handbags this season, play with a full spectrum of color, from simple black to rainbow colors. Depending on what you are wearing you can choose from oversized clutches, quilted purses, leather handbags or fringe handbags.
One of the most important things about handbag to look out for is the color. The colors used are very bright and fun. They can be bright yellow, green, pink, light blue, black and white combinations or separates, red, tan or with
animal prints. The purse doesn't necessarily need to match your shoes or anything what-so-ever, it can just bring a touch of color to your outfit. All you need to do is make sure it works well with the rest of your outfit
Fringes are in the trend this fall and winter seasons. Exotic skins are obviously in the vogue as well, though it can be considered as a forever-chic and sophisticated design. That said, you know you would never go wrong with this. Let your bohemian styling soar with designer Jimmy Choo. Choo has always given designs a range from the most casual to the most glamorous and luxurious ones, and this bag probably falls in between. Choo plays with animal textured print, in a bold electric blue. This beautiful bag featured in the photo on the right, plays with all the elements of this seasons trendrends. Like Choo, designers have been focusing on bohemian styling has always been casual but there are some who can pull such façade in an elegant way. So if you also want to achieve that kind of look, perhaps carrying this bag would do the job.

Layer up...Pearl Trends, Spring, 2010

Let’s make a statement! Jewelry has never been so bold. From Giant metal floral designs, rocks & stones, to classic pearls, trends for 09 & the upcoming new year, Jewelry is making a huge statement, and BusaccaFashionGallery.com is stringing along.

Right now , one of the hottest trends in fashion jewelry looks out there is the strands of pearls. Designers such as Chanel, and stores like Forever 21 are showing strands of pearls. The cabochon pearl button earring has emerged as a strong silhouette for spring. This vintage, as well as 1980's staple can be seen in the pages of Vogue magazine at super bold sizes. Pale pinks & grey colored pearls are gaining quick popularity. These soft colors compliment the muted spring apparel colors that are so predominant this season. Materials combined with these jewelry classics displayed a significant use of ribbon and color cords, which can be used as e bow tie closures, which are allowing the simple strands to become their own unique interpretation. In addition to ribbon and colored cords, pearls are also being used with leather and mesh for a more casual feeling. Baroque and freshwater shapes help fashion pearls look great with denim.

Layered pearls in various sizes mixed with lengths of chain is a dramatic way that fashion pearl is being designed. The use of asymmetrically placed floral 'brooches' on these layered necks is also a key look. Creating these floral brooches out of pear shaped pearls keeps the look more modern. Adding charms to pearl bracelets and mixed into strands as its been done at Coco Chanel, which is a great way to create a unique & fashionable piece. The Rebirth of Vintage Clothing & Trends, 2009 Seasons

As the seasons change from Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer, and we're quickly approaching yet another winter season, styles from seasons past have come back around. Even though MJ isn't with us anymore, he's left a mark in 80's fashion. The military jacket has come back to life! This year we've seen various twists of this vintage fashion on the runway which designers and retail outlets alike offer up their own modern versions, but there is nothing that quite compares to the real deal. The great thing about vintage clothing, it's almost as if it we're couture. One-of-a-kind pieces that've stood the test of time, and have been given new life. Combining the old with the new, is a fusion that is both unique, and inspiring. Jackets are the biggest must-have this fall, and especially the winter season. It's all about a polished look, but you may have to dig for vintage jackets and blazers that are tailored to you. San Francisco, and other metropolitan cities usually have an abundant resale shops, making the hunt for buried treasure, easy to find, as well as affordable. When searching for jackets, look for one's that are tailored to fit your body's shape, as well as dark colors such as black, browns, and other darker shades. Also, these rich dark colors, like vintage, will stand the test of time, so don't be afraid to splurge on a staple this season.

Seek out a great waist belt for this season. Belts have been worn over sweaters, which are a hot fashion trend for Fall, 2009. You can give this look a vintage twist with a vintage sweater and belt! The return of 60's and 70's was also present with the return of the sweater mini-dress. The mini sweater dress can be worn with tall boots, or a pair of skinny jeans. You may or may not have any luck finding these at thrifts but vintage clothing boutiques usually have a selection. But the best selection is certainly to be found on-line. Look no further than great selections & pieces of vintage clothing & accessories at http://www.busaccafashiongallery.com/.

Vintage brooches are another thing to look for on your thrift store hunting expeditions this fall. Big, flashy, antique jewelry is a fun and funky way to add personality to your outfit. They are incredibly versatile as well. You can wear them more traditionally on your lapel, or you can use them to dress a purse, a hat, or even shoes! If you have a scarf that will hold up to being punctured with the pin backing of the brooch , you can use it to hold a carefully-laid scarf in place.
Featured in the photo above is an exquisite bee broach. Made of 18 karat yellow and white gold, this vintage piece has wings set with full-cut diamonds: total diamond weight approximately 0.26 karats. Completely handmade, unbelievable work has gone into this exquisite piece of jewelry, which doesn't come along very often. Inside the brooch is signed by Kevin, the designer, whose mark is stamped on the interior: "18k/ 585/ Kevin." Overall weight approx. 13.2 gm. Measures approximately 1-1/4"long x 1-1/4" wide. Men's Fall/ Winter Trends, 2009

For the Fall/Winter 2009 season, Men's apparel stepped it up a notch with a unique blend of fashion pieces. Designer's this year paired a perfect fusion of elegant, sophisticated, the nonchalant, as well as the ultra fashionable. Over the seasons, we've seen men's fashion turn 'a new leaf.' No longer exclusive to runways, men's fashion has gained a new perspective, especially as they have become increasingly conscious of what they wear. So, what can you expect in the fall fashion scene for men? Take a look at some of the 'must haves' for the current Fall/Winter 2009.
Alexander McQueen, known for his decadent runway shows and mastery of construction, McQueen is variously inspired by the military, morbidity, and any number of far-flung tribes—often in the same collection. McQueen touched on some of the major highlights this runway season (Fall, 2009 runway show on the left). Making it's way into the fall collection, the look for men's outerwear, is the updated trench coat. The overall fit is trim, a little shorter than the classic. Burberry also freshened up this men’s staple in an olive green gabardine. Tommy Hilfiger has it in navy and DKNY in a deep gray, both functioning more as raincoats, and Prada included a heavy double-breasted glen plaid overcoat. Overall, the trench coat is a great fitting stylish staple, that's is a key element for this fall.
Men's Sweaters & Colors: Cardigans have been popular for a few seasons, but imagine a retro style cardigan over a tee or button down shirt for fall. It’s a seasonal must have. Pair this with geek chic glasses and skinny jeans and you have a very current look. Men's will be expected to work with rich colors, such as dark shades of blacks, grays, and midnight blues, with a dash of deep greens and purples.
Tailored Suits: Classics will always rule when it comes to men's fashion. Unsurprisingly it's no different when it comes to men's suits. The waistcoat has long been a dead item for most men, but thanks to a resurgence in its popularity in men's street wear the suits' waistcoat is back with vengeance. In 2009 we'll witness the return of the three-piece suit, as it has been one of the most under-utilised parts of a man's wardrobe over the last forty years. If we're returning to the classics with double breasted and three-piece suits in 2009, then it stands to reason that we're also returning to classic cloth patterns. Moreover, the coupling of the classics with the current men's fashion revitalisation means this is the perfect time to reintroduce patterns into your wardrobe. Displayed below, is a classic fitted navy velvet blazer sold at Busacca Fashion Gallery, (http://www.busaccafashiongallery.com/catalog.php?catid=289&itemid=107&page=1). This is a slim fitting jacket that is great to dress up or down depending the occasion. There are 4 pockets total, two front hip pockets, one chest pocket, and one hidden inside pocket. The velvet is made of 100% cotton and the lining is black with a rayon blend. To view the latest postings, or to register & sell high-end fashion merchandise, visit www.busaccafashiongallery.com.
